The EA888 Gen3 engine is a performance superstar in the modification world. However, on the path of striving for the ultimate 04 (0-400 meters straight-line acceleration) result, the original factory camshaft has become a bottleneck restricting the upper limit of power. When the turbine pressure exceeds the limit, the original valve mechanism is no longer able to meet the extreme intake and exhaust requirements. Intake camshaft (IN) data:
· Valve opening duration (Adv.Dur.): 243 degrees
· Valve lift (Valve Lift): 10.15 mm
Exhaust camshaft (EX) data:
· Valve opening duration (Adv.Dur.): 272 degrees
· Valve lift (Valve Lift): 10.30 mm
A longer exhaust duration angle (272 degrees) enables more efficient exhaust expulsion, driving the larger turbine; precisely matched intake lift and duration angle ensure a large amount of fresh air is injected into the cylinder under high boost pressure. This combination is the key to breaking through the original factory horsepower limit.
To withstand the immense pressure brought about by high lift, high speed and extreme boost, the original factory valve mechanism is simply inadequate. We offer a fully reinforced kit consisting of 48 components, which is the absolute foundation for achieving a safe increase of 100 horsepower.
The kit includes:
1. High-performance valve springs (Valve Springs): 16 pieces
· Provide support force far exceeding that of the original factory, ensuring that the valves can precisely close at extremely high rotational speeds, eliminating the “float” phenomenon and preventing catastrophic consequences of piston hitting the valves.
2. Reinforced hydraulic lifters (Hydraulic Lifters): 16 pieces
· Specifically designed for high-lift camshafts, the internal oil passages have been optimized, ensuring stable operation under intense driving and high rotational speeds, avoiding power loss and engine damage caused by the collapse of the lifters.
3. Titanium retaining rings (Titanium Retainers): 16 pieces
· Ultra-lightweight: Significantly reduces the reciprocating mass of the valve mechanism, reducing inertia.
