DQ250 FRONT-WHEEL DRIVE LSD

A mechanical screw limited slip differential designed specifically for the Volkswagen Group DQ250 6-speed wet dual clutch transmission. As a high-performance model in the Volkswagen DSG family, the DQ250 gearbox has a torque capacity of up to 350Nm and millisecond shift speed, which places extremely high demands on the differential. The original open differential is prone to uneven traction distribution and low cornering acceleration efficiency in intense driving conditions and track environments.
This DQ250 mechanical LSD adopts a spiral gear inference structure design, which achieves intelligent torque distribution through pure mechanical self-locking effect. The device utilizes the axial thrust generated by the speed difference to automatically adjust the locking force, providing extremely natural and predictable handling characteristics.
1. Acceleration characteristics: Under acceleration conditions, the lock up rate is increased, providing appropriate brake distribution, and providing stable and predictable traction distribution during cornering acceleration.
2. Deceleration locking characteristics: Under deceleration conditions, the locking rate is reduced, providing appropriate allocation and improving stability during cornering braking.
3. Steering characteristics: LSD automatically adjusts torque distribution based on tire load, transmitting more power to the outer wheels and reducing the tendency of understeer.
