Description

The friction type limited slip differential specially designed for the Honda R18A series front wheel drive gearbox, as an assistant model of Honda i-VTEC technology, places special requirements on the transmission system due to its smooth power output and excellent fuel economy. The original factory open differential is prone to problems such as single-sided drive wheel slip and traction loss in wet and slippery road surfaces and rapid acceleration conditions, resulting in reduced acceleration efficiency and decreased handling stability.
The E-ROM R18A friction type LSD adopts a compact multi plate clutch structure design, and achieves precise torque distribution control through an optimized preloading spring system and street oriented friction material, effectively improving the steering characteristics of the front wheel drive vehicle, enhancing performance and traction. By limiting the speed difference between the left and right wheels, power is more effectively distributed to the wheels with better grip, preventing one side of the wheel from spinning and improving the vehicle’s tracking and off-road capabilities.

4.1.5WAY and 2.0WAY can be selected from:
1.5 WAY: (The locking rate limit is determined by the number of friction plate groups. It intervenes during acceleration and deceleration, but the locking rate during deceleration is only half of the maximum locking rate.)
2.0 WAY:(The locking rate limit is determined by the number of friction plates, and it intervenes during both acceleration and deceleration)
